The benefits of a central hub – how this can help agents get the most out of MovePal

A big factor in whether an estate agency firm succeeds or fails, grows or stagnates, is down to processes – and getting the processes right to improve efficiencies, reduce admin time and make sure your team are as productive as possible.

PropTech, of course, plays a key role in this, but it’s vitally important that products, services and software provided by a supplier are integrated in the right way. This can sometimes be difficult to achieve and cause problems, frustrations and hold-ups for all parties.

To make the absolute most of the tech providers you partner with, you need to use their products to the fullest and in the most efficient and effective way.

That’s what we endeavour to do when it comes to all the products and services we offer member agents and future member agents of The ValPal Network – none more so than our lead nurturing MovePal product.

To get the very most out of our MovePal product, we know that it is of benefit to agents to initially only having one person manage the leads coming in and the MovePal account (including the MovePal app) used to monitor this. This is to lessen the chances of confusion or mixed messages or too many cooks spoiling the broth, as they say.

Instead, a central hub way of working – in other words, the person who initially manages the leads/MovePal account delegating these to the appropriate person when the time is right – is absolutely the best way to get the most out of MovePal.

As such, we advise our member agents and future clients to work in this way to ensure they are getting the maximum return on investment from MovePal.

 

What are the benefits of central hub working?

Negating buy-in hesitancy

It can be difficult, even with the very best and simplest PropTech products, to get 100% buy-in from all members of staff when rolling out a new product. There is likely to always be some staff members who are resistant to ‘something new’, no matter how much it could help them.

Similarly, there could be a situation where responsibility for the new products is passed downwards to other staff, who then don’t pay attention in training/lose interest as it’s another system they have to log into and, as a result, they don’t use it to the fullest extent and blame being too busy with other tasks as a reason for this. Having a central hub system negates or even solves this concern.

Clarity

A centralised way of working with MovePal allows one person to be in charge of receiving and then delegating the leads that come in, to reduce the chances of opportunities being missed. Everyone in the business will know who to turn to, or who to wait for, when it comes to making the best use of this product.

Clear lines of communication

There will be no confusion over who is managing what and when if one person takes responsibility and all the leads are funnelled through them. It’s important, of course, that the whole business is in on board with new tech – its introduction should be similar to that of a new employee, with everyone getting to know them – and that there is a second person who fully understands the system, so if that person A is off or otherwise engaged, person B can easily step in without any issues.

It's also useful to have a third person trained up if both person A and B are unavailable, but only one person should be in charge of the MovePal account at any one time to maximise its potential – with delegation then carried out the appropriate moment.

Quicker action taken

If only one person is put in charge of manging the MovePal account, decisions on who to delegate leads to can be made much quicker, meaning a prospective client could be contacted while they’re still at their hottest. Any delay in utilising MovePal leads could turn that very hot lead into a much cooler one in only a matter of days, or sometimes even less than that. Being decisive with decision-making can ensure this isn’t a problem.

Better results

If there are fewer things to cause a logjam in the system, and lower chances of mix-ups and hold-ups, it stands to reason that better results will be produced. A centralised system has its downsides in certain instances, of course, but when it comes to MovePal we’ve found that it’s the very best way to make the most out of the product.
